Making a gift in your will or with a beneficiary designation?
Donors may make bequests to CGE through their wills and trusts. The preferred language for such designations is as follows:
I/We designate Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions, 9223 4th Street Northwest, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87114, Tax ID number 43-6005587, to receive [specified amount or percentage of total estate] for use in pursuing its mission.
Please note: Bequests or other planned giving instruments that facilitate a gift to CGE without designating a specific purpose will be handled as follows:
- First, CGE will try to determine your intent through discussion with you, your heirs, or your giving history.
- If no other information is available, the gift will be added to our Endowment and designated for general operating support.
